Dick Johnson's last Bathurst 1000 victory, best known for co-driver John Bowe fending off a late charge by Craig Lowndes making his Bathurst debut.

Race winner: Dick Johnson & John Bowe, Ford EB Falcon.  Time: 7h 3m 45.8425s.

Peter Brock during the early stages of the controversial 1987 Bathurst 1000.

After the 05 car had mechanical issues he switched to the number 10 team car, claiming victory when the Eggenberger Texaco Sierras were disqualified for technical reasons.

1987 Bathurst 1000 winner: Peter Brock, Peter McLeod & David Parsons, Holden Commodore VL SS Group A.  Time: 7h 1m 8.4s (158 laps).

Bathurst 1000 programme cover, 1995.

Due to a licensing dispute, there was a change in this cover artwork before it was made into a poster.

The original artwork had Peter Brock's VR Commodore where Wayne Gardner's Coca-Cola sponsored Commodore now features.

Two versions of the poster were printed.

Back when poster and magazine artwork was hand-illustrated and highly specialised, I was lucky to be commissioned to produce this cover for the Bathurst 1000 programme.

The "10 Days of Bathurst" countdown to this year's Great Race was suggested by a family member who is a Touring Car history buff and a champion of my work.

From the Greg McNeill Archive: Wayne Gardner - 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix - Phillip Island 1989

"Wayne Gardner - Home Victory"

A limited-edition art print produced by Wayne's sponsors to celebrate his thrilling victory in the inaugural Australian 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island in 1989.

The original artwork was presented to Wayne at a sponsorship dinner, circa 1992.
